Starting July 2026, Amazon Shipping will introduce Customer Returns (C-Returns) support for the India marketplace via the Amazon Shipping V2 API. This feature enables merchants to create return shipments with doorstep quality checks through the existing GetRates API and OneClickShipment API.

In June 2026, Amazon Shipping Push Notifications will include location details for each tracking event, achieving parity with the Tracking API response.

Amazon Shipping is standardizing the carrierId field for all cross-border (international) shipments across France, Italy, and Spain (FRITES) marketplaces. This change applies to both On-Amazon and Off-Amazon shipment types and affects the getRates, oneClickShipment, and Tracking APIs.

In May 2026, Amazon Shipping will introduce enhanced, standardised error codes and messages across GetRatesV2, PurchaseShipment and OneClickShipment APIs worldwide.

Amazon Shipping will automatically normalize package dimensions submitted via the Shipping API V2 for WW including US, UK, France, Italy, Spain (FRITES) and India marketplaces for services of Amazon shipping as carrier for both On-Amazon and Off-Amazon type shipments.

We are excited to expand our Value Added Service (VAS) offering to include Signature on Delivery (SoD) for ON-Amazon marketplace volume in the United Kingdom. This feature, previously available only for OFF-Amazon shipments, now provides enhanced delivery security and verification for Amazon marketplace orders.

We are excited to announce upcoming enhancements to Amazon Shipping Push Notifications. In response to user feedback and to improve the shipping experience, we will be introducing Proof of Delivery (POD) information in Push Notification events for delivered shipments.
